The research tests of abrasive finishing of Inconel 100 and CPW 41 alloys carried out at the
Institute of Advanced Manufacturing Technology (IOS), with the superhard grinding wheels with
the vitrified, resinous and galvanic bonds, were discussed. The research tests of grinding of Inconel
100 (with the cBN grinding wheels) and CPW 41 (with the diamond grinding wheels) alloys,
in dependence of the grinding wheels characteristic, parameters and conditions of grinding, were
presented. The applied types of the cooling liquids and the method of delivering them to the grinding
zone influence on the machined surface and condition of the grinding wheel active surface
(GWAS). The 2D measurement results (Ra, Rz parameters) of the samples surface after grinding
and achieved material removal rates of grinding Qw [mm3/min] confirmed correctness of the cBN
and diamond grain types and grade selection. The results of tests showed the better quality of the
surfaces after grinding with the grinding CBN and diamond grinding wheels with resinous and
vitrified bonds with the pore-forming constituent content.
